Back from the dj booth...
Jul. 28th, 2005 01:15 pmIt was really fun!
The program director showed us all the studios - several radio stations run out of that building. He showed me how the equipment worked while recording the music. We talked about KJQ. He used to work there. KJQ was the only station to play the really gutsy alternative grunge in the early nineties. We actually joked a little and told some stories, then I recorded a promo, into, commercial break bits, and closer.
It was not nearly as intimidating as I thought it would be and he said I should call in 4-6 weeks to do it again. (It's not that special. He offers it to everyone) I think I will because now that I have done it, I feel quite comfortable! A good time, really. Saturday night at 10:30. EEE!!!
Oh, they took my pic and I looked horrible {sad}, but they'll post it with my songlist just before the show airs. As soon as I get on top of it, I'll post a link so those interested can see.
