Son of a....
Mar. 17th, 2005 09:58 pmTwo days ago, the printer printed perfectly with no strange things to indicate impending doom. Then, of course, because we just bought brand new ink cartridges, it started fucking up. Earlier this evening while hubby was trying to diagnose problem (it started when he was trying to print important homework, of course...) I sat down to watch my brand new 'God, The Devil, & Bob' DVD... and the DVD player came up with an error message. We both grow frusrated trying to diagnose things at about the same time and switch projects to see if the other can see something we might have missed.
No. Both are shot and, of course, no longer under warranty. (Printer's warranty ran out in Jan, the DVD player in Feb... of course) Son of a bitch.
It's just another in a long line of appliances that seem to die in our house. The fridge last fall, our microwave has been acting oddly since we got the new cabinets in September, the other morning hubby poured water into the reservoir of the coffeemaker I bought him in October and the water came right out the bottom, and the hinge on the oven door broke in such a way that it's irrepairable; repair guy said the only solution is a new stove/oven.
What the hell!?
