The Slipper and the Rose
Mar. 10th, 2005 03:37 pmWent to see this play tonight. I have been told by many that it is the first time this play has seen an American stage. About time if you ask me. Sister and I grew up on the movie; quote 90% of the play and resisted singing along aloud.
The sets were lovely, the set ups wonderful, and some of the acting was quite good. The rest sucked and the guy who played John was cuter and a better singer than the prince, but that was someone else's call. Don't know, I could say it was a horrible production for those things and more, but this is Utah and the talent is quite limited. Besides, it was the theatre and it was The Slipper and The Rose! Those two point trumped all other rubbish.
