snoweeWhile my editorial hasn't been published, I am happy today.
On Sunday, they printed support of the "If everyone did it" editorial and I became annoyed once again (hence the post about porn. I have always known porn was fabulous, but I was pleased that I could share this information with religious conservatives...).
However today, there are 2 editorials expressing the flaws in the reasoning - with less anger and argument than mine.
I am pretty convinced mine won't be published now, though, because today there is an article by one of the editors talking about how he'd been contemplating the US Constitution this week (which I referenced). This same editor wrote an article which appeared in Sunday's paper discussing the liberal pov vs the conservative pov and how we should appreciate diversity (which could easily have been a reaction to mine). I know all letters must be read so I'm wondering (in a very egotistical manner, of course!) if some of his points and ideas may have been influenced by what I wrote even if they didn't feel mine was appropriate for publication.
Point being, though said much more simply I'm glad someone finally said enough!
