What is with ginormous? Just because you can't remember how to spell gigantic or enormous doesn't mean you get to make up a new word. As usual, I'm a tad disappointed by the words making it into Webster annually.
I've used stupid words all my life so the real question is: why does this one bother me so much? Possibly because I've heard it used in no less than 5 television commercials this last week.
My annual October mindset
Again since we're in a new neighbourhood, I get to reuse ideas from the old house. Handy, no?
It's another Hitchcock year, but I am excited because our home is taller so Mom came up with the idea to do Vertigo out of the upper window. She even has grey fabric to make a dress suit and a blond wig! Faboo. Now I just need to get my hands on a plethora of birds. The ones I made last time were pathetic. Also, since the last time I did Hitchcock I have seen Frenzy. I got a bunch of really bad 70s neckties from my dad...I'm rather excited.
Toria wants to be a mermaid again. Over the course of the year, one pattern company came out with a really cute mermaid costume. Last year I ran out of money so just made do. This year I came up with a few extra dollars and managed to buy new fabric with the pattern, but omg! It's complicated - more so than most sewing I do. I've already messed it up twice, but repairable. {sigh} tedious. Scott doesn't know if he wants to do his costume anymore and mine doesn't make sense without his so ours are up in the air again. GAH! I usually have this all decided in July!
