It's a miracle. That's what it is!

A few weeks ago I was complaining because I returned a book, knew I returned it, but it got lost and I was told I was responsible anyway. Well, you're allowed 3 renewals so I renewed and renewed. I asked them to do shelf check after shelf check. I drove out there and did a couple myself. Last week I checked my account online again and marked in my calendar that it was due the 15th either way, no more renewals. Then I realized this morning that I didn't get my reminder in email yesterday as I expected... so I went into my account and finally FINALLY, thank the gods! it's back on the shelf.
I'm feeling such incredible relief.

I haven't sent out as many as intended for several reasons. One of them is that several places claim the agents are out of office from July 4th until Labor Day so my assumption from that is that the screeners are probably harsher on queries during that time so there isn't as much for the agent to read when they return to office. Therefore I'm going half assed until the little one is back in school. Another reason is that several of the agents on my wishlist now want a synopsis, first 50 pages, or both with the query letter. Thanks. That'll cost me more to get rejected, but hey... That means I am trying to pump those up into irresistable selling points.
edit to add: Short story submission was sent in today.
