All that fussing over the new Sarah Waters book, and then I do my damn fool things. I actually got the book a couple weeks ago... 3 even? Well, by then I'd already started an early b-day pressie (Poppy Shakespeare...goood). By the time I finished that, I had recieved another book for b-day (In The Miso Soup) Well Miso is short so I figured I'd just whip through it before NightWatch. LOL... I know I should have read NW by now, but oh well! Right after Miso... nothing else in between I promised myself!



As soon as Amazon started that Prime bullshit, shipping went straight to hell! I always used free shipping because, well, if I don't I might as well go pick up the book at a local store, right? Whatever. The thing is, Amazon Prime (for those who don't know, you pay a certain $ amount and then all your standard shipping is free, overnight is reduced rate) is a HUGE amount of money, imo. I mean, you'd have to be ordering things a few times a month to make it worthwhile! I used to get free shipping stuff within a week, but since they started Prime, it takes well over a week. I'm kind of pissed off because this is how businesses are, isn't it? Throw you over a table and screw you because you can't afford to plop out large amounts of money for THE EXACT SAME SERVICE you'd been receiving. Profits, profits. We must have our damned profits even if it's at the expense of the little people. Fuck you, big business. How do you think you got to be a big business in the first place?
