Throwing LittleOne a 'mermaid' birthday party this year. Going to get bubbles and balloons and seashells. It's harder than you'd think to find Mermaid decorations that are not Disney's Little Mermaid.
The L Word
I hate Carmen. She's a diva-bitch and I'm really really done with her. Look, I'm not saying Shane should be with someone like Sherry (Rosanna Arquette.... HELLO HOT SEX!!!!!!!!!) but not Carmen. Why must every show create a 'player' character only to have them tamed by a relationship. Ruins them.
Moira. Ok, I promised not to spoil, but she's got gorgeous eyes and I just love her!
This season is so ugly and beautiful all at once I rather regret not sharing it with everyone I could at first! Ah well, planning now to collect the DVDs so perhaps I'll just have to convert people then.
The Big C
Hadn't talked about this here because my niece reads LJ and I didn't want her to find out this way, but now that I'm assured she knows, I'm going to say it. My dad has cancer (prostate). At first they said no biggie... a little snippity and we're all good. Now we've learned it's already spread to far for that so he's getting injected treatments. I try not to worry, of course, because they're saying it's okay. Good diet and he can live another 10-15 years. He's already 72 so 10-15 years is a good life, but... But they also said Mike was fine, all good... just a little more chemo and he'll be... oops, sorry. Didn't expect him to die like that. We were so shocked. It's, uh, a big deal to me nowadays when they say "it'll be fine".
Should have asked niece if her dad knows. Mom told me that she had left him a message and that, as of two days after him getting back to town, he hadn't called them back... While that was... how long ago? haven't been updated on whether or not he knows what's up.
So, there we are then.
