Mom Time

First, I had these photos of Toria taken professionally. (Don't worry, I also bought the copyright)



So, I told hubby this story and he laughed, said I sounded like a snob. The thing is, I don't know how to be a mom - at least in the "around other moms" sense.

After school, waiting for Toria a mother asked me "What's your daughter's name?" I said "Victoria" She said "Oh, my daughter is Arianne and she said that Victoria is her best friend." I said "Oh. Good." Pause. "Well, I'm glad she's got a friend because she looks so solitary when she comes out of school." Pause, turn, walk away. Scott says I should have asked other mom her name or told her mine and suggested a play date or something. Whatever. I don't know how to communicate with other moms!

Toria does not act like the other kids in her class. I think I've already made her weird. Joy...
