I've been with my webhost for nearly 2 years. The first year and 6 months were dreamy.
Now, I'm fucking shopping before January when they'll charge for the next year.
I've GOT to vent... so ignore me.
About 6 months ago, I couldn't get into the CPanel for 2 days because their license had expired and it took them that long to get around to renewing it.
About 3 months ago, it happened again. WTF!? You're a major company. Why not renew for longer period of time? On the CPanel webpage it says you can renew in increments up to 1 year!
Last month, I couldn't view my page. I also couldn't send or recieve email so I had to use another account on webmail to communicate which is a tiny bit more hassle - unless it takes 10-15 emails to resolve in which case it's a major hassle, right? (It turned out they had mistakenly blocked my server. WTF?)
As of yesterday, I can't send email. I have to go to the CPanel, then to the webmail, then to the box I want to send anything from my own account. A major fucking hassle. I receive everything just fine. Thought maybe it was my server or the program, but those are both lined up.
Stupid thing is I spent the first 1 1/2 years telling everyone how awesome they were. Thank god no one took my advice.
See, now, where else can I find 500 MB for $48 a year... that's right, $4 a month. NOWHERE! I can either spend more or only get 50MB. I have plans for my webpage so even though I'm under 50 now, I was hoping for something to expand into later. Dunno. Maybe I'll just have to go small and then upgrade later, when I'm ready. Fuck. FUCK FUCK! Why does it have to be so frustrating!?
