Well, I finally got around to getting my pictures developed. From 6 rolls, it was hard to choose the ones I wanted to document most. My sister still has 5 regular and 3 panoramic she said she'd share.

Almost as soon as you enter, you start seeing animals:

You start taking pictures like mad because of the majesty of the animals. Later in the day you begin to learn they like photo ops that are a little less natural:

In fact, they sometimes like to just stand there for several minutes with a look in their eye that says "I dare you to get out of your car..."

My sister, anxious to see Old Faithful, (which in case you haven't heard, since the earthquakes in the mid 90s hasn't been all that faithful), took us to that stop first. Mostly the hole in the ground just sits there and blows steam. They said it could take about an hour so we walked around, then sat down at the "guesstimated" time and waited.

And waited until I grew bored and took another picture. I'm sitting before the geyser and turned just left a bit to take this. The people around me looked at me like I was crazy for taking a picture when this thing could blow any second!

Oh bother. Twenty minutes later, it finally showed its stuff.

The wind blew so it's hard to make out, but the water blows straight up for ten minutes or so while ravens fly around.
Other destinations included the Bog of Eternal Stench, aka Fountain Paint Pot which has a sulpher smell everyone complained about. It really wasn't that bad, just noticeable.

Virginia Cascade. I use a telephoto lens while my sister used a regular lens. I was confined to this close-up while she got one of the entire cascade fall. It's much higher and so incredible. I loved the contrast of the white water and black rock. Who needs black and white photography?

The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is beyond description. There was no way to photograph the depth. Way off in the distance, you can see Lower Falls.

Unfortunately for me, Toria fell asleep in the car. I volunteered to stay with her there for one of the stops and missed Artist's Paint Pot.
