Jun. 2nd, 2004 05:23 pmStill kind of down, but I think it might be improving. I can't tell for sure.
Kitty hurt his paw in a fight last Sunday. Poor little guy hopping around the house. It's so sad to watch!

what black & white photos don't show is his eye colour. It hard to see, but look how icy blue!

Hubby went back to school. Started yesterday. He likes it. I'm happy. It's about time! Of course, now he's waited long enough that I'll have to put off my return, but it's all right. I can always go back later. I'm young.
I've had a lot more time to read since this whole thing went scatterlybunk. Hubby now works the night shift so after Toria goes to bed, I have a quiet house and hours to waste.
Am still working on The Dubliners, but that's been stalled by... a self-help, raising kids book my sister gave me. Well, unlike most it had some good information. As usual, I take everything in those feel good happy slappy books with a grain of salt...
Anyway, I'm going to start Affinity (recommended by
jodie_mouse) before I finish Dubliners because I'm more interested in it.
I wanted to start a book/writing club since my friends and family both read and write a lot. The frustrating part is that one person has mostly suggested girly fluffy books and rejected anything edgy. Another one complained that she didn't want to be corrupted by the suggested reading. Two of them think they know it all when it comes to writing, but they each have different viewpoints. Good, yes, except I know both of them are more the "I'm right, you're wrong" type and I fear every week will end up an argument of semantics and mechanics. {sigh} I need new friends... lol
