I very recently learned that my sister shared part of my novel with my mother. My jaw hit the floor. I was, to be honest, a bit terrified. Mom's ultra-conservative and... let's just say my fic is not.

Well, I was told that she "didn't appreciate the subject matter" but she thought the writing was done well.

Heh, I'm pleased. Not just because she like my writing, but more because a little because she didn't appreciate the subject matter. Is that childish rebellion? Hmmm...
