Just a quick itinerary.
Thursday we took hubby's brother for dinner it a restaurant with a full bar - to buy him his first legal drink! It was a lot of fun.
Friday I went over to Mom's where we had a "stuffing party" (as though calling it a party makes it enjoyable. LOL) My sister needed her pictures trimmed, then glued to her wedding invites, then the invites stuffed into envelopes.
Saturday was actually a blast. Last night we went out to Rocky Mountain Raceway and saw the auto races. My brother adores speed racing, but I've always been partial to speed racing - until now. For those who don't know much more than "cars that race" (like me, really) there are some new events added in the last few years, apparently.

The figure 8s - it's amazing. You have a bunch of cars driving a figure 8 and as the faster ones speed ahead and the slower ones fall behind, you're just waiting for a nice T-bone crash at the intersection of the 8. It's fast and loud and tons of fun to watch.

Then it got better. Trains. They have three cars hooked together. In the first car, the driver controls acceleration and steering only. In the last car, the driver controls only the brakes. As if that's not crazy enough, you've got like 8 sets of these cars driving the figure 8s! It was a huge friggin collision of 12 cars almost automatically as soon as they started heading for each other. COOL... totally crazy!

All sets were painted into set - like the budweiser cars were all the same with the lead car having a crown on it, then there was the set where they were all pink and called "The Pink Panther" My favourite was the only train that wasn't all the same. The first car was black with flames and the second looked like a car version of Scooby Doo's mystery machine, and the last was some weird looking american flag on acid design. About the time of the main collision, it was across the track and the middle car had flipped completely upside down. He he.

Before you think I'm morbid - keep in mind that if the cars we drove on the streets were built this way we would - aside from pay much more for our cars - hardly ever be injured and even more rarely die on the roads. We also couldn't take passengers, but the point is, a crash at 150 mph rolling and burning will still have a driver walking away with perhaps a tiny limp...

Right now, I'm watching a show about the history of planes and air shows on TV. Very enjoyable.
