Hubby and I were watching a film (more later) and as it ended, I tuned back into satellite. There was a clip from Regis and {spoken in ditzy voice} Kelly on some entertainment news program and she was saying something about that show ... Mr Personality? Anyway, she said she found the masks creepy. Whatever.

Then she went on to say something about how the commercials said that women are always saying they want a man with a good personality. She then declared that they don't; they want a man who is good looking. DingBat then went on to inform us women (and the men out there) that only stupid women want men with good personalities.

Ok, passing the fact that I find Kelly to be an empty headed blow-up doll that should have stuck to modeling, I disagree with her comment. I mean, it's the smart women who need a man (significant other) with a good personality so that they can, you know, carry on a conversation. The less intellectual people are the ones who don't need an S.O. with a personality because the reason they're perceived as stupid is because they are incapable of carrying on conversation. In general. This is just my opinion, but whatever.

Regis, this amused me, then said "Are you saying [your husband] doesn't have a personality?"

Nice move Regis. I've always suspected he picked a stupid sidekick to make himself look smart because if he picked someone with an IQ higher than her shoe size, she would make him look as smart as he truly is, but that amused me. I mean, now there is no way out of it. Either Kelly is stupid or her husband has no personality, right? HA HA HA

Please don't send me email or comments yelling at me for insulting this pair, btw. Fans of the show carry little respect from me. Moving on.

The movie we had watched was The Weight Of Water. Now, I would highly recommend this film to anyone looking for something to chew on. I found it fairly juicy, well constructed, somewhat unpredictable, and quite enjoyable. I don't claim to be a film expert or even the best judge of a good movie, but it was pretty intense and really had me curious from about 5 minutes in. Once the answers were there and we were past curious, we were into the climax and wanted to see the story played out. So, that's my opinion.

One last thing on appearances. Weeks ago I forgot that I was going to ramble on to your poor eyes my opinion on a Dicsovery channel show/topic. They were talking about breast implants and this doctor pointed out that, in his opinion, a good doctor would not do the surgery on a woman who wanted enhancement just to pick up men or the like. I didn't watch much more than that comment, but it still got me thinking.

I really have no objection to breast enhancement. As far as I'm concerned, it's like tattooing. My opinion is that a person should do these things because they feel it enhances themselves, not because they think it will miraculously make them feel better about themselves or make them more attractive to others. I'm sorry, but if you can't be happy with who you are, no amount of surgery is going to fix that because it means all you are focusing on are the flaws. I know it's not easy, but it almost hurts me to see people who say they are ugly because they are fat or that they can't get a man because their boobs aren't big enough. No! Fat women can have pretty features and small busted women can find a mate. Bodies are fascinating things because they are different, just like people are interesting because they are different.

btw, my body is a temple. These tattoos are my stained glass windows. {wink} Catch you later!
