Update

Last night they admitted him to the hospital because he had bacteria contributing to the size of the stone. They put in a shunt (operating room, bit nails!) but he's fine. Supposed to come home this morning.

Just for the record, spending a night apart because one of you is in the hospital is a much different experience than things like separate vacations and arguments. It really sucks even though you know the other person is going to be fine. (Can you imagine if you weren't so sure? Well, I guess then you'd be there with them...)
