Weekend update.

Saw nephew's band last night. Putting on my critics hat (as though I know anything) he's pretty good. The lead guitar can play, but is extremely derivative. It wasn't quite Iron Maiden riffs, but close enough. The bass guitar has enough charisma and talent to go far. The drummer was interesting. Much more than "tap tap clash" like the drummer in the band before. The only thing is their singer has GOT to GO! Yikes. Awful, quiet singing aside, he had no stage presence AT ALL. I do hope nephew goes far. It would be cool to see him do that. I mean, I won't go overboard with awesomeness, but he's only been playing for a couple years and he sounded really good, kept pace, etc. So, I'm hopeful for him.

So there you are then.

Today we were going to have an early dinner with most of my family at a restaurant as it's my mother's birthday tomorrow.

Unplanned we took my sister-in-law to breakfast as well. She's had hell week. Am hoping she finds a better job!

So we went out twice. I had to order really light both places because when we go out to eat one meal usually does me all day. Most places give you so much food... But it was tasty and came with a free slice of PIE!

After dinner, V- asked to spend the night at my sister's and she agreed so I am free as a bird until she wants to come home tomorrow. That means I'll probably clean and... I want to say work on my synopsis, but probably more likely play on computer. ha.
