Thing That Must Go
Feb. 5th, 2008 01:46 pmThe only local morning radio show I'm willing to listen to has this fab segment called "Things That Must Go". The hosts make lists, but also read a few emailed suggestions varying on anything and everything. Now, on occasion, I'll see or hear something and think "That's something that must go..." so I am stealing their segment. ha ha. Stop me. I dare you.
Or, add a comment of things YOU think must go. {grin}
Today:
1) People (celebrities, not-so-celebrities, ANYONE) who say stupid things like "Don't you know who I am!?" I, for one, could NOT care LESS who YOU are.
2) The squeeling vinyl record sound on telly and in movies to signify quick stop. Only the vinyl nuts listen to records anymore and they take care NOT to make that sound! It's antiquated. Come up with something else
3) Companies who sell gift cards everywhere when we do not have a place to redeem it. I have noticed gift cards stuck in amongst all those gift card centers in every store recently for AMC theaters. There is only 1 AMC theater in the entire state of Utah and it is well over an hour away - with more than a dozen theaters in between here and there. DUH. And were there gift cards to theaters we actually have? No. I had to go to the theater's webpage or the theater itself to get those.
