Sep. 6th, 2006 09:41 amSecond day of kindergarten. Surreal.
So, there are 38 kids in her class. They just hired a new teacher, but... the other class had 35 and they're asking for 8 from each class to move to the other teacher (in afternoon), then they'll take "a few" from the afternoon and move to new teacher as well. That's still 30 kids (not to mention the fact that the new teacher's class is likely to only have 20 or so... but I can't move to afternoons!) How can this be effective!? Laws for daycare don't even allow 30 kids per adult and daycare's job is not to prepare my kid for college.
I've had pretty intense headaches for 4 days. I'm sick of it, so am self-imposing no caffiene or smoking. Usually this helps, but usually they aren't this bad. I can't even think.
And I think I'm not sure how I feel about anything because she's been in school for two days, both days hubby has had off work. His hours this week are two hours later than typical, we're waiting to hear on a new job (interview next week), I have to babysit from 6 am until 3 or so in the afternoon tomorrow and again for about 5-6 hours in the middle of the day on Friday. Tomorrow night we take cats to airport so tomorrow also has to be prep for that and Friday V- gets to get her new kitten, which I learned they hadn't taken him to the vet yet so I made an appointment and will have to do that as well.
Really, it's not so bad. I just can't deal with the headache on top of it anymore.
