Just indulge me...
May. 15th, 2006 08:22 pmWhen you have absolutely no expectations, every little thing is bloody fantastic. Because of this transportation stress, I actually sort of forgot about my birthday until it was upon us. We found a vehicle last week. Our credit union said "No problem" then when we went in for the actual loan they said "problem" There is no way to make this short so I'll just say that it led to a bunch of major serious stress about the situation we'd gotten into, but this morning they said "Yes, loan approved"! We dropped off check tonight. Stress over! YAY!
Also today, Dad came by and got sprinklers going - grass, tomatoes, and pumpkins won't die (too late for the beans sadly, but Mom's growing a bunch so I might go steal some of hers - since they were my starts anyway I just had nowhere to plant the rest) YAY! and Dad also hooked up our cooler - it jumped from comfortable to firey hot over the weekend so the last couple days it's been all we can do to keep the house below 80 degrees F. Now the cooler is working. YAY!
And my sister called from North Carolina, plus I got a card, plus I already had a present earlier... (I love Poppy Shakespeare so far!) My other sister called first thing this morning, but we're close so I would have been insulted had she NOT called. After getting the car thing all cleared up, we went to dinner. Had my fave and it was done well - then got free pie - which I took home because I was a bit full and besides their pie pieces are so huge I usually get it to go and eat it in a couple attempts...lol.
Amazingly good day for a birthday, but I find they are better when I don't think about it or expect anything.
