01. a really good song - and singing along with it.
02. learning something interesting: playing a new song, learning new details about a culture or a period in history, etc.
03. reading a really good book
04. debating political, social, or other serious issues with someone (as long as my point is coming across well. I don't have to be right, I just have to feel like I'm expressing myself accurately.)
05. writing - even when I'm obsessing about a story or when the ideas are collecting and I feel like I've got a thousand 'voices' trying to make me crazy.
06. sorry but I have to say it - great sex &/or a powerful orgasm
07. sitting in the dark -alone in the house- often listening to my favourite songs
08. friends who let me be honest, who sometimes disagree with me, who have heard me put my foot in my mouth, but who love me anyway.
09. at the risk of being a total mom-dork: when Toria learns something new or I make her laugh (hard!)
10. those rare occasions when hubby is affectionate with me.
