New stuff & another funny kid thing...
Jan. 2nd, 2005 11:16 amFirst off, I've made a small selection of Desktop Calendars. The idea is that you set the images as a background on your computer and update the first of each month. I've got one of funny little (phony!) events, pinup girls, Due South, and Velvet Goldmine. I'm a couple days late for January (sorry) but they can be found here.
Over the next few weeks I'll attempt to complete the rest of the year so they'll be readily available before the beginning of each month. Check it out. Let me know what you think so I know if I should do a larger variety for next year or just bag the idea because it's silly and useless.

karmaschild shared the link for Amityville Toaster with anythingoes. I took a peek and laughed so hard I had to show my hubby, bro-in-law, sis-in-law, and a couple others. Each time, Toria comes running in to hear it too. (view it now before reading on or you won't get it...)
So, the other day she said she wanted a bagel from the freezer. I put it in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it and she ran off to play while it did. I then took it out and put it in the toaster. She came back and said: "Mommy, bagel's done," while pointing at the microwave. I said "Oh, yes, it was done thawing, but now I've put it in the toaster."
She looks at toaster and says, in horrified tone: "No toaster! Toasted hand!" (wait, it gets even better!)
I spend the few seconds it takes to toast the bagel explaining to her that it was just a joke and that she'll get a toasted bagel - then I'll put cream cheese on it and she can eat it. She's convinced. I take it out, spead the Philly, and put it on a plate before her at her tray where she eats. She takes it, eats a bite, smiles and says "Mmmm! Yummy toasted hand!" before devouring another bite.
edit: Oh crap! typos! Sorry if anyone even notices, but I was rushing to finish the calendar project today. Hopefully I'll take more time to proofread before February...
