It's been a few days
Jun. 7th, 2003 12:13 pmFor those who don't know it, I've been writing my brains out. This story idea has, by now, eaten 95% of my brain. I'm incapable of having a conversation without a)wanting to bring it up or b)trying to figure out how to use some aspect of it in the story. It is currently 118 pages/61,726 words. I'm to a point where it needs careful plotting, but the plotting isn't flowing together very well.
Plant watch: I buried the callas sometime last week. Now I've got two reddish ones and one white one in the back yard. They are lovely. Spent the last two days planting strawberries and tomatoes. I have so many that they're coming out my ass. Seriously. I'm considering having a barbecue and serving tomatoes and strawberry shortcake. My peas look good, but have yet to give me a pea. I love sugar snaps fresh off the vine. Yummy. Corn and zucchini did not and may not get planted. I don't like gardening.
Bat watch: Yeah, you read that right. A couple bats like to fly around my backyard in the evenings. VERY cool and reminded me I was planning to have a bat obsession after my last trip to the zoo. LOL.
Tooth watch: I've got a VERY sore tooth and bad experiences with health professionals (and attorneys) BLAH!
Hubby and I bought each other QaF UK for our anniversary. It's a nice gift because it's a "together time" gift. Also, he surprised me with a hotel room last week (and babysitter) It was a very nice hotel room. {grin} Good anniversary.
Let's see, what else? I still like my hair. My kid drives me up a wall because she's... well, because she's 2 and she tests me relentlessly, but also because she climbs and climbs and when she's not digging her foot into my shoulder, she's scaring me half to death that she might fall. {exasperated breath} Mom said she's exactly like her grandpa (biological) Oh, and she loves spicy foods. I try to keep them away because I know they are not good for her, but she loves them.
Song lyrics for the day: because I've decided if music and lyrics are so nifty to me, I ought to start sharing my faves more often, but cut them so you don't have to see them if you don't want...
( Burn by NIN )
I'm sure I'll think of more later, but that's all that was in the other 5% of my brain.
