Why I'm scary
Dec. 4th, 2002 11:03 amSo, last night was quite fun. Sister-in-law, J, came over. She just needed to talk. Well, we did. Then the subject changed. A little later we went out and... got a favour. So, we brought the favour home and... well, the evening then got REALLY enjoyable. (Giggling and munching Cheetos)
But this is why I'm scary. When I'm... not in my right mind, I feel smarter. Or something. J was telling me that she was taking this mental questionnaire for reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture. They asked her if she "saw people". She asked what they meant and the doctor said "Imaginary people". Well, I won't invade her privacy by telling you all the answer she gave (she's crazy, you see), but the whole time she's explaining, I'm thinking "If I believe they're real, then how could I know they're imaginary?" So I asked her. She said she'd ask her mother so I had to add "You know, in case the response is 'admit to psych ward immediately', I would like to clarify that I don't see imaginary people. I'm just curious." Then again, how would I know?
Another example, J's keychain got caught up on this string that goes around the neck. She's fiddling and giggling and can't get it unhooked. I took it from her and in about a minute, I had freed it like one of those ring on the horseshoes puzzles. One should not be able to perform such complex tasks when they're, you know, should they?
He he. I amuse myself.
