01. Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack?

No. Over half of what I read comes from the library or is borrowed so I've stayed away from that habit.

02. Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you?

It's sacrilege. If I have thoughts or want to remember something, I use a separate notebook.

03. How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears? Laying the book flat open?

Book Thongs by Snowee. Yes, shameless plug, but they hold in place well, don't distract from reading if you have to lay it open to do something else with your hands, and don't wreck the binding.

04. Fiction, Non-fiction, or both?

Both, but mainly fiction lately. I went through a LONG non-fiction period after college, but I've over it now.

05. Hardcopy or audiobooks?

Hard copy only.

06. Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you able to put a book down at any point?

I tend to read until the end of a chapter or a section, but I am capable of putting it down anytime.

07. If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away? Write it down to look it up later? Just try to infer what it means from the rest of the sentence, and keep going?

That doesn't happen enough for me to know how to answer that. Mostly infer, I suppose.

08. What are you currently reading?

Actually, I just finished The Talented Mr. Ripley. Typically I know exactly what I'll read next - I will have 3-5 lined up. This time I'm not sure where my mind wants to travel. This often happens when my brain is about to burst out several pages of a novel so I'm not pressing the issue.

09. What is the last book you bought?

Myself? With my own two hands? A book for hubby. The last purchased for me was the Tanya Huff series.

10. Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can read more than one at a time?

One at a time. If a book isn't interesting enough to keep my full attention, I will just move on to something else.

11. Do you like re-reading books?

I used to think I would want to, but now I realize there are too many books out there to ever get around to reading any of them a second time. Besides, I tend to read slowly and devour every bite of a good one so there's not much need to re-read.
