So, I have sent that comment adding only one minor point.
"It is politically correct to be a bigot as long as you can somehow reason that your target has made a “choice” to be that way."
In context it comes off as sarcastic as it is meant to be.
I've actually heard it before also - that it's okay to make fun of fat people now that we can no longer make fun of gays, races, mentally or physically challenged, etc. What I wonder is what's wrong that 'we' can't find things funny that don't involve insulting people at all. I've always wondered that.
Thanks for the fb, guys. The thing is hubby and I have almost opposite struggles and when we talk about out weight we don't agree so I needed to know if my pov was whacked or just different to his.
more news
Anyway, I have also sent off our tax returns. MONEY! We are getting back more this year than last. I didn't expect that, but then again hubby is making more, but withholding the same %. This makes me happy because stress of paying off computer is gone. There is no doubt we'll be back on track, + some. It's a huge relief.
party like it's NOT snowing outside!
Meanwhile, I really want to have a party. A Luau. It would be stupid to spend the money as soon as we get it, but it would be a lot of fun have a gathering of the cool people and "lei" them as they come through the door. (You saw that coming, right?) I am still debating it. I know there's been more snow this year than the last few so it seems like the best year for a "sick of winter" party (but I'm not sick of it. It just seems like luau inside goes with snow outside...)
