mom-type rambling.
Aug. 31st, 2007 09:28 amI really didn't think I was one of "those" moms. Sappy...but Toria started school on Tuesday and when I dropped her off, I actually felt a tear well up in my eye. I surprised myself with that.
Anyway, since hubby is off Tuesdays & Wednesday, we whooped it up both days and then I went to lunch with sister on Thursday.
Today is end of first week, and now I'm just reminiscing and thinking wow - she's gotten to be such a big girl. Realization of where we've been and how far we've come sinking in.
You know, I sometimes wish she had a sibling. Hubby and I both came from very large families so I have a hard time seeing her without a sibling to bond with, but it's never going to happen. Even if we made that kind of money I'm not sure we would adopt again. No, I know we wouldn't. We've talked extensively about adopting and have decided that if we're in the position we might take a foster child on a temp basis, but I don't think we'd adopt again unless it felt as right as it did when we adopted Toria - which was definitely special and not likely to happen again.
Anyway, enough of a ramble on that for now.
