The Cat Lady & other news.

So, about 3 weeks ago, I got 3 sweet black cats whom I am babysitting. It took a little time, but all our cats are getting along now, though it means we have 5 here right now. Their mommy and daddy are taking a cross country trip before they move east so we expect to have them for about another month.

Meanwhile, Mom and Dad went out of town. They have 2 cats. I've been spending a lot of time over there watering their plants, loving their cats, drying our clothes (dryer's been broken for about 6 weeks, but I can't afford to get it fixed yet... because I had to be stupid and go buy a Kenmore so only a few people will fix it and the cheapest charges $65 to come LOOK at it!)

That's where I've been. Oh, but Mom said since I was helping her out I could buy the shoes I wanted on her credit card. (I went with 6665 - the black with rhinestone buckle). The reason I even looked is that I wore boots to a wedding earlier this summer which made my entire ankle and foot area burn, plus these outdoor weddings: the lumpy ground sort of made walking around a pain. Then a couple weeks ago we had to go to another wedding and I wore sandals. Not bad? Well, they were 8 year old Birkenstock's (the classic style, ugly but comfy). Why? Because I have one pair of boots, one pair of sandals (the birks) and two pairs of Converse All Stars. I realized I cannot continue to have only this foot attire when not only funerals, but also wedding keep coming up last minute (the former was hubby's brother - we got the invite Thursday for wedding Saturday... HELLO!). I don't particularly like dress shoes so I was just excited to find a pair I actually thought looked nice. (I hate sneakers, too, which is why my sneakers are Chucks) I'd make a wardrobe of boots if I could afford the ones I like!

And because I can't resist neighbour complaints, K moved out last week. Surprisingly, he left his dog! The last 2 days they have left him outside. He doesn't bark. Oh no, he whines and howls! ALL DAMN DAY!! and gets the neighbour's dogs who are usually quiet all riled up so they have been barking much more than usual. It's driving me up the wall.
