This week is shaping up to be crazee. So far I haven't had time to respond to much email, but I had to update.
Here are some pictures of

Cause of much stress as you can see. btw, I took these pictures so comments would be greatly appreciated.
Bridal shower is this weekend. Next two days will be spent preparing for it, I think.
This morning I got keys copied for my house. They cut 'em, didn't work. Took them back and got them shaved. Still didn't work. Finally we took them to my brother who works at a wholesale lumber yard. Gee, now they work. Stupid people who can't even cut a freakin' key! My mom used to do it when she worked at Woolworth years ago... It can't be that hard.
Not that that's a big deal - it just goes to show what the week has been like. Spilled Diet Coke all over
anythingoes's birthday card. Can't get printer to make the thing I made her look nice so I have to go to Mom's to print it, then bring it back here to do... the other thing. It'll be two weeks past her b-day by the time she gets the damned thing. lol.
Found out today that Ani DiFranco will be in SLC next month, but there's no way in hell I can afford the tickets.
Also found out that KSL (the NBC local affiliate) will not be airing Coupling because it's too risque. Well, admittedly I had little to no interest to watch it except Rena Sofer's beautiful eyes and lips, but I don't like them censoring. I had almost forgotten about 'Picket Fences' until today. They filtered that because of a derogatory Mormon remark made in one of the first few episodes. I suppose that wasn't important to me either since I didn't watch it, but it did to E - an old friend of mine who had loved the show. Ha, and yesterday I learned the writers for QaF-US were the writers/creators of Sisters - which was E's absolutely favourite show - but she's a homophobe. I almost wish I still talked to her so I could tell her what they're up to these days.
Interestingly, I got an email just the other day saying that the United Atheist - argh, whatever the major Atheist's group name is - is protesting use of the word 'God' on television - because they bleep out many swear words, but Touched By An Angel uses God constantly. Well, whether I agree with them or not, I do NOT like the suggestion that TBAA be removed from the airwaves because of it. I don't really care either way because I change the channel when it's on. I swear, between this, Coupling, and complaints about cable shows (The Shield and QaF catch my particular interest since I watch them) you'd think people were completely inFUCKINGcapable of turning their televisions OFF, changing channels, watching videos/DVDs... I've really kind of had it with the bitching about programming. If you're offended, then you're not MEANT to like it. It's not for YOU.
Did you know that MULTIPLE tests PROVE that what your kid watches on TV cannot create a violent child, a sexual predator, etc? It can only be COMBINED with external, CONSTANT factors to serve as PART of behavioural deviancy; behavioural problems. You also can't blame friends. These tests say anywhere from 50-75% of child behaviour is determined by what they see at home. Not on television, but from their parents. Yes you who fight and abuse in front your children are the problem. Yes you who don't bother to talk to your kids are the problem. Yes you who are too narcissistic or too "enlightened" to discipline your children at a young age; lay down the law; be the fucking parent are the problem. Yes you who are so closed minded to see the beauty of diversity are the fucking problem!
I realize this doesn't really relate to you {pointing at friends}
Tangent. I'm back. I hate my hair. Got it trimmed a few weeks back and she shaped it. It's not nice anymore. It's not a tad wild and fun - it looks like a granny haircut. IRK!
Karina has calmed down a lot about her wedding, but everyone is still bitching to me about it. I'm rather sick and tired of hearing all the shit everyone has to say. Even if Karina is being a brat, whining to me about it isn't much better. Yeah, she was being inconsiderate and pissing everyone off, but get over it! I am getting sick of one person in particular who keeps whining because, see, she didn't get a big wedding. When she married her current spouse, she had to do everything herself, etc, etc. Well, look. She had a baby when she was 17, married the guy, got divorced. Got married a second time. Do we do big weddings for second marriages? Not traditionally. Why should we? I mean, even if her first wasn't big, that's not our fault. She divorced that guy and married her current spouse and it was small, at his house. Again, why the hell does she think she deserved a big wedding? She had 3 kids and so did he. I'm sorry she never got a big wedding, but to slight everyone else who did because of it is bullshit.
You know, I'm getting off topic here. There really are a lot of things I'm pissed about right now and I'm just sick of it - but I have to bury it because I have to deal with this shower Saturday, the wedding in a couple weeks, then the Halloween party, then the family calendar I make every year, then the holidays... I just feel like I never get to deal with my shit....
Swamp cooler has been winterized even though temperatures are still in the 80's. Thanks. Not too fucking hot... {melting}
